Dear residents and local businesses,
Here is a roundup of what the Foleshill Neighbourhood team officers have been doing this week.
OUR Priorities
Our priorities are now business crime; this is an issue all over the Northeast and officers are proactively patrolling the affected areas. We have officers in plain clothes as well as in hi visibility uniform.
Officers are carrying out dedicated retail crime patrols and plain clothes operations to provide reassurance to shop keepers, deter anti-social behaviour and address concerns raised by the community. Alongside these the dedicated retail crime patrols are focusing on supporting local shops, tackling shop theft and working closely with shop staff to prevent repeat offences
IN OTHER NEWS
Officers from Foleshill neighbourhood police team and officers from the Northeast Priority crime team have worked together this week and have executed a warrant at an address in Foleshill, the warrant was applied for after reports from residents of drug use and anti-social behaviour at an address. Officers applied to the courts and obtained the warrant for the address this week. On arrival officers had to force the door to the property, once inside officers completed a search looking for any signs of illegal activity. Officers recovered from the address, a significant amount of cash and 3 firearms. Four persons were arrested and enquiries will be ongoing
Officers have been busy patrolling in the north of the city and working hard to reduce crime and give reassurance to the public.
Residents in a residential tower block have been experiencing anti-social behaviour over the recent weeks, after speaking to residents some of this has been occurring in the early hours of the mornings. Local officers from the Foleshill neighbourhood team have been staying on for extended duty so they can be in the area when these problems arise. Officers completed dedicated patrols of the tower block, executing their stop and search powers and ordering non residents to leave the area. This was a success and residents were said to be happy with the extra police presence at the crucial times.
Officers have also been dealing with problem parking along Foleshill and Stoney Stanton road. We were receiving reports of dangerous and obstructive parking. As a result of this one business owner has been issued with a CPN, community protection notice. Officers will continue to patrol the area and monitor any parking issues
